There are many reasons to consider joining the military. Whether you want to protect and serve your country or are looking for a steady souce of income, the U.S. Army offers you many benefits when you enlist.
Many think becoming a member of the Army involves living in a country far from home and working every weekend. However, this isn't always the case. U.S. Army Chicago offers Army recruiting services to explain in detail all of your options as a soldier, including how you can become part of the Rangers or Special Forces.
Army Enrollment — A Full-Time Position
The Army is a full-time job, where you'll work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with better pay and benefits. Visit GoArmy.com for extensive information about the history of the Army and what it's like to serve.
Join the Army Reserve — part-time work
Reserve members work one weekend a month, Friday evening to Sunday, as well as during the summer for 80 hours over two weeks. You can live at home and continue the rest of your life, like working toward retirement or attending college. In addition, you'll still receive education, medical, and dental benefits.
